Project Story:

The clients of the Potter Road residence had been renting the house and were delighted by the opportunity to purchase the property and put down roots in Vermont. This classically New England residence already had a front house and a back house, so as we developed a design for additional indoor and outdoor spaces to accommodate the family's current and future needs, we continued with that aesthetic. We began construction in June of 2021 and when we wrap up the project (anticipated for Winter 2021-22) the project will include a four-season garage with a room for guests above it, a sunny south facing patio for morning coffee and evening relaxation, a timber-framed screen porch, and a spacious new mud room.
The clients, eager to invest in the long-range future of this beautiful piece of land, have prioritized regional materials and they've coordinated with Adam Hubbard of Hubbard Land Design (Landscape Architecture) & Janine Conti of Haystack Design (Interior Design) to settle this home into the landscape and the character of the region. We are currently providing construction administration to ensure the promise of a well-built home that will be a sanctuary for the clients and their friends and family.
